Graduation Day

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY LITTLE BROTHER, KYLE, AND MY LITTLE SISTER, BRIE!!
THEY BOTH GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE THIS MORNING :D :D :D
I'M SO PROUD OF THEM BOTH!!!!!

We went to the graduation here at San Juan College this morning. It was Awesome!! So many people there and it was really nice to see my lil bro and sis graduate.
Lisa's cousin, Kayla, also graduated. She actually graduated from Nursing School. She same one Lisa is attending. She started a couple years before Lisa did and finally got thru it. So it was nice to see her graduate.
My uncle's wife, Roberta, graduated as well. It was Awesome to see her there. Just a day full of graduations. I'm so proud of her. I don't call her my "aunt" because I really don't see her as that. She and my uncle didn't get married until not too long ago.
Another graduate today was our friend from church, Carmelita. She graduated today and that was surprising! I didn't know she was graduating this year. So that was really cool. We got to see everyone walk the aisle and receive their degrees.

The BIGGEST highlight for me was this:
When I was in high school, I had friends from all over the school. I was never a guy who only hung out with one group of friends and that was it. I had pals who were the smart kids, some who were loners, some who were musicians, some who were athletes, older kids, teachers, and a lot of my friends were on the football team. I was very friendly with everyone, especially with the kids who didn't seem to have many friends. One such guy was a boy named, Faron Van Winkle. He was a real loner kid. Always by himself and didn't really seem to be acknowledged by anyone. Well, one day I just started saying hi to him. No matter who I was with, if I'd see him in the hall I'd call out his name and say hi. He would always respond by looking at me and giving me a quick, "hey" lol. I always remember that look he'd have whenever I said it. "HEY FARON, WHAT'S UP?!"  "hey," he'd say haha. Well, I considered him a friend. I'd always see him in the bathroom while we were combing our hair and getting all spiffyed up. Soon, he became more comfortable and I always made it a thing to say hi to him. He was a good kid and I always hoped that he'd make something of himself.
Well today at the graduation, just before it was about to be over and they had just finished calling on everyone and were down to the last few people, I heard them call out the name, Faron Van Winkle :D
I was like "OMG FARON"!!! I was so happy for him. There he was, walking out there to get his degree!!! I actually got to see him graduate. I haven't seen him since graduation back in 1999 and there he was, all these years later at his College Graduation! I was so proud of him and I was so very happy that I got to be there to see it. I didn't see him after but I was glad to have been there. I know now that whatever he does in his life, wherever he goes, he'll be successful and that is all I've ever wanted for him. Congratulations Faron. Make us proud, buddy!!!
